Have You Bought G20 Irons?

There is a special synergy between the golfer and their precision clubs and the better the interaction, the more the play flows. The ping g20 irons are truly synergistic in their design, allowing the energy to flow directly between golfer and ball with no resistance.

With each and every season ping continues to evolve its lineup, and while there’s hardly a product revolution from one year to the next, evolutionary improvement is all but a given. The ping g20 driver shows the same head with the former production, sole thicknesses, lofts and shaft lengths as G15, along with several new features that aids feel forgiveness and distance. Ping engineers, for example, strengthened the “Custom Tuning Port” (CTP) in the rear cavity. The reinforced CTP combines with an elastomeric badge to reduce face vibration and dampen shock.

We felt as though Ping could have been more ambitious in separating the look of the g20 irons on the shelf from its predecessor. The cosmetic changes do not reflect the improvements made. The new CFS is the steel stock offering from Ping. It helped to produce a long flight on test. The TFC 169 is the graphite offering and will help anyone looking for a higher launch. Ping's stock grip provided plenty of grips when tested in both dry and wet conditions. It is slightly thicker than most stock offerings and was an impressive performer.  Extreme perimeter weighting within the stainless steel head helps to improve forgiveness and accuracy. This extra weight is found by making the face of the club extremely thin. The cavity badge is made from aluminum with soft elastomer in the heel and toe. This helps to provide a better feel. The hosel-to-head transition is designed to inspire confidence.
